In the third year BDS examination
following 3 subjects are included: |

I. General Medicine |
General Medicine includes fundamental procedures
in systematic examination of patients with diseases, including
history taking, presenting signs and symptoms, clinical examination
and diagnosis of diseases for which the treatment is done
by drugs. Lectures, demonstrations and clinical examinations
are the main parts of the curriculum. |

II. General Surgery |
Introduction to general principles
of surgery, clinical examination, including history taking
and diagnosis for those diseases for which treatment has to
be done by surgical means and evaluation of patients requiring
minor/ major surgical procedure are taught here. |

III. Oral Pathology and Oral Microbiology |
The student is taught by lectures series
to recognize, analyze and appreciate primary and secondary
disease conditions of the oral and para-oral regions present
in patients. The course also includes microscopic and macroscopic
evaluation and diagnosis of common oral diseases through practicals
in the Laboratory |
